Practical Case

During normal operation, it continuously monitors the temperature, pressure, and flow rate of various fractions in the distillation column. One day, a sensor in the column malfunctioned. Thanks to the TMR architecture of the T8431, the system quickly detected the faulty sensor by comparing the data from the redundant sensors. It then isolated the faulty sensor and continued to operate using the data from the remaining sensors. This ensured that the distillation process continued without interruption, preventing potential production losses and safety hazards.
