This module is mainly used in steam turbine systems and provides key phaser signals to monitor modules in 3500 racks. It receives the input signal from the sensor and converts it into a digital signal to monitor the relative position of the key phase marker on the shaft to the sensor, which is essential for the protection and monitoring of large rotating machinery such as steam turbines.
Part of the 3500XL family from Bently (now Bentley, Bently Nevada), this model is an enhanced key phaser module. It accepts the input signal from the proximity probe or magnetic pickup and converts the signal into a digital key trust signal to indicate when the key phase marker on the axis coincides with the key phase sensor.
